Wedding Photographer Victoria BC | Villa Eyrie Wedding | S&C
S&C travelled all the way from England for their beautiful Villa Eyrie Wedding in Victoria BC, bringing family and friends along with them to see our beautiful coast. We first met via zoom during the pandemic and it was a while before we’d meet in person due to restrictions and postponements, but when we did it was well worth the wait. S&C are two of the softest and kindest souls I’ve met in my adventures as a wedding photographer. Their gratitude and relaxed attitudes made their day incredible to witness.
S&C met in school, but didn’t become good friends until they found each other at their mutual Karate classes. They didn’t start dating until their final year of high school, and found it fitting to get married on their tenth anniversary of dating. C popped the question at S’s favourite restaurant (the last seating, as to not draw a crowd) after 7 years together, but not without a hiccup in his epic plans. He spent a full day dragging his mum around looking for engagement rings, and ended up going with the very first ring he saw. That night he made a joke to Sarah that maybe it was time to buy a motorbike. The joke didn’t quite land, as they had been saving their funds for the engagement ring. Luckily C redeemed himself pretty quickly with the ring and S said absolutely yes.
Their intimate wedding of about 25 people took place at Villa Eyrie on a beautiful Monday afternoon following an April snow shower on the Malahat. The skies parted and they got a beautiful sunny day for their ceremony and events. We adventured around the property for their portraits and everything else was done on site making for a super relaxed day for everyone. Here’s a peek at their gorgeous day (and some epic views!).
