T&E | Victoria BC Elopement Photographer
T&E Met during university while taking part in the on-campus swim team, during a trip to Sombrio Beach. They spent the evening chatting, and they could both tell they wanted to get to know each other better. They spent months chatting before they started dating, but they both admit they knew it was the foundation for something special.
T believes that the moment E popped the question, it was the happiest moment of her life. She went to work and came home to pack a pre-planned picnic at their favourite spot. As they walked down towards their spot, T noticed that it was pretty busy on the beach that day. When they sat down, E seemed a little distracted while T was daydreaming. Suddenly she realized that he was talking to her, and he was being very sentimental and nice. She looked at him, and questioned “Is this really happening!?”, to which he grinned and got down on one knee. Unbeknownst to T, the nature photographer was actually there to photograph their engagement , and their closest friends popped out of the bushes to celebrate.
To say they went through some wedding changes would be an understatement. After planning 3 different weddings due to the pandemic and E’s swimming trials, they decided to say screw it, and planned their intimate backyard wedding in Oak Bay in just over a week. Their out of town photographer couldn’t make it, and I got the pleasure of witnessing this made-to-be marriage between two very in love humans and their parents. The wedding took place in E’s parents yard, followed by delicious picnic boxes from The Farmer’s Daughter in Sidney, and donuts from Sidney Bakery. We took off shortly after for some adventures and their couple’s photos.
These two were so relaxed to work with, and trusted my expertise at every turn. This made for the best photos possible and I couldn’t be happier with how it all turned out.
Cheers to love and resilience! Wishing you both the best in your adventures together (I am sure there will be many!)
