St. John’s NL Wedding Photography | R&C | Leaside Manor

We absolutely love every chance we get to visit our hometown, St. John’s, Newfoundland. What’s even better, is photographing weddings there. We do so on average once a year, and it is even more incredible when the couples are those who are near and dear to our hearts.

I have know Ryan for over 16 years, and saying I was honoured to be chosen to photograph his intimate Leaside Manor wedding is an understatement. Although I had never met Catherine, I knew we would hit it off from the moment I started chatting with her. An organized and detailed planner, she had everything down to a tee for her wedding day. It’s such a great feeling to watch your friends grow, in life and love. Ryan and Catherine proved themselves to be a dually suited pair, complimenting each other perfectly.

Their intimate wedding occured fairly last minute with not a ton of time to plan, but lots of beautiful and sentimental details. Ryan, having been recently accepted into a PHD program, wanted to get married before his life got super crazy. Their wedding took place on a typically drizzly August day in St. John’s. The skies cleared for us after the formal wedding events finished, allowing us to go on an adventure together on the historic downtown streets before they were whisked away for a romantic dinner for two at Raymonds Restaurant (but not before we snapped a few final shots of them sharing some bubbly).
