S&K | Wedding Photographer Victoria BC | Fairmont Empress Hotel Wedding

S&K brought their family and friends together for an unforgettable wedding celebration at the Fairmont Empress Hotel in downtown Victoria. Their priorities were their portraits and lots and lots of candid moments with their families enjoying the fun they had planned. Their wedding was initially set to take place outside on the lawn, however the weather had other plans that day. We moved their wedding and cocktail hour inside to the Palm Court, with a caricature artist, cocktails and a poutine bar, with the reception to follow as planned in the Bengal Lounge, with karaoke and a delicious south asian inspired meal. 

S&K were two of the most relaxed people and they were so trusting during their portraits and the day as a whole, allowing me to do my thing to make some magic with them. With a little help from their wedding coordinator we braved the weather for a few photos outside, but got to use a couple of indoor spaces for their portraits as well. This took the pressure off and made for some really pretty photos that were genuine to them as people. 

Watching their families and friends join together (S’s two daughters and K’s son) was a beautiful thing to witness, along with sharing the day with their parents and other favourite humans who made the trip. Lots of memories were made and I am so grateful they invited me to be a part of it.
