LGBTQ Engagement | J & M | Russell Books
Jade & Meredith have to be two of the sweetest souls we’ve had the pleasure of working with. They ADORE each other and their love and smiles are infectious (see for yourself). These two ladies met as co-workers at Russell Books in Downtown Victoria 3.5 years ago. Jade thought Meredith was the cool and beautiful girl who caused her to fumble her words when she was around. One morning before their shift they went for breakfast at Floyd’s Diner and soon realized they had departed from the “just friends” category around their second sip of coffee.
Their proposal story says it all about how these two feel about each other. They had spent the day at Mystic Beach, one of their favourite places (but this particular day, everyone else had the same idea and the beach was packed). Jade had planned to pop the question, but was thrown for a loop by the crowds, and considered postponing the proposal. With the ring burning a hole in her pocket, she couldn’t wait any longer. Just before they were about to start the hike back up the hill, she took Meredith to a secluded little spot and pulled out the ring asking her to marry her. She said yes, promptly asking how long she had to wait to ask Jade in return. Meredith produced her OWN ring for Jade as she had the same idea! These two have been sharing adventures and brain wifi ever since.
One of their other favourite places in town and a highly sentimental spot for both of them, despite having since departed their positions, is Russell Books. It holds a spot near and dear to their hearts and it was fitting that their engagement session take place in this iconic location. We couldn’t be happier with their choice and had a blast spending some time with them on this quiet evening after hours. Congratulations to these two lovers and we wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
