Looking for a photographer in St. John’s, NL?
I serve St. John’s for portrait photography & event photography.
I am a St. john’s NL Photographer— and one of my favourite things about this job is getting to work with families right here in my own community. I am from St. John’s and it truly has such a unique personality. Small city meets a small town vibe where you’ll always run into someone you know. Steps away from the coolest outdoor locations, some of the best coastline and trails in the country.
I’ve had the privilege of photographing so many of you who call it home.
Whether you’re looking for a wedding photographer, a newborn photographer, a maternity photographer, or a family photographer near St. John’s, NL — I know the city like the back of my hand, and I’d love to work with you and share it with you.

Photography Services in St. John’s NL
I offer a full range of photography services to Mount Pearl residents and families, including:
Wedding Photography From intimate ceremonies to full-day coverage, I photograph weddings throughout the Avalon Peninsula. St. John’s couples often choose locations in Metro St. john’s for their celebrations, and there are loads of great photo locations nearby within 10-15 mins.
Newborn Photography I offer in-studio newborn sessions at my warm natural light studio, as well as in-home lifestyle sessions for families who want to be photographed in their own space. If you’re in St. John’s NL and expecting, I’d love to connect — newborn sessions should be booked during pregnancy to ensure availability.
Maternity Photography Maternity sessions can be done in-studio or on location. St. John’s has some lovely coastal spots, sprawling fields, and character filled neighbourhoods— and I have the studio ready for when it doesn’t.
Family Photography Family sessions for St. John’s families typically take place outdoors, at a local park, or at a meaningful outdoor location nearby. I’ll help you pick the right spot based on your family’s vibe.
Elopement Photography Eloping or planning an intimate ceremony? St. John’s and its surrounding area offers some beautiful and unexpected backdrops. I’d love to help you plan something personal and unforgettable.
Photography Locations in St. John’s NL
Here are some popular photography locations. I love to help choose a location that is personal or fits your vision for your photos. I have lots more where these came from.
Bowring Park A classic for a reason. The ponds, the walking paths, the mature trees, the duck pond — Bowring Park photographs beautifully in every season. It’s one of the first spots I recommend for St. John’s families who want something lush and green without driving far.
Long Pond Quiet, walkable, and underused as a photo location. The waterside light in the early evening is gorgeous for maternity or couple sessions.
Quidi Vidi Village Just over the hill and worth the short drive. The colourful fishing stages, the lake, the boats — it’s the most photogenic place on the Avalon and I never get tired of shooting there. It offers a bit of everything, but especially Newfoundland character.
Signal Hill For couples or families who want something dramatic and windswept. Signal Hill never disappoints (AKA it’s always windy). It also has some beautiful areas that overlook the St. John’s Harbour, and has some walking trails which give a bit more variety with trees and shrubbery. Fancy a hike? Signal Hill has an intricate hiking trail system which can connect to Quidi Vidi or The Battery
A Few of My Favourite Spots in St. John’s
Coffee: Jumping Bean on Topsail Road has been a Mount Pearl institution for years. If you haven’t been, go. Their chai is worth it. They also have a location in Atlantic Place, and on Elizabeth Ave. The Battery Cafe is a staple downtown. Birdie is newer, but has the best coffee and pastries.
Eat: The Sprout for vegetarians. Little Sparo for dinners. The Gypsy Tea Room for vibe and cocktails.
Drinks/Snacks: Bannerman Brewing on Duckworth St.
Walk or explore: I love walking downtown along Gower Street. I used to live in a row house and I look back with nostalgia. I love seeing what’s new on people’s porches, or popping into Hallidays for a pack of snowballs.
