Baby L made an early appearance, arriving about 2–3 weeks ahead of schedule this January in St. John’s. A few weeks later, once everyone had settled in at home, we met up for a relaxed in-home newborn session in Conception Bay South.

In-home sessions are often the easiest option for winter newborns (and honestly, for tired parents any time of year). No packing the car, no rushing out the door — just photos in the space where you’re already spending your days getting to know your baby. We worked between feeds, used the natural window light, and kept the pace slow so Baby L could stay comfortable the whole time. She also got to share the spotlight with her older brother, Pickles the cat.

These sessions tend to focus on simple, natural moments: a few cuddles on the couch, tiny details, and the way those first weeks actually feel at home. Nothing complicated — just documenting the real start of this new chapter.
