Desiree & Jeremy’s had a country inspired summer wedding at Affinity Guesthouse, just outside of Duncan on Vancouver Island. They wanted to include the country feel to their wedding, having travelled from Alberta.
They met in high school, and Jeremy had a thing for Desiree, but she didn’t spark an interest for him until 7 years later during a random encounter at the hospital of all places. After chatting for a while online, they reconnected. Jeremy proposed on the dock along the water at their family lake house and the rest is history.
Their wedding was all things country, with a million tiny details that came together to create a “barn wedding without a barn” as Desiree affectionately calls it. Much of her decor was DIY with some items borrowed. From lawn games to wine barrels, bullet casings to cowboy boots, she succeeded in her quest to create her dream country wedding on Vancouver Island. These two line-danced the night away together in the gorgeous white tent (with barn door entrance for good measure) with their family and friends. A huge congrats to them both on their next big adventure together. If you are looking for DIY or country wedding inspiration, you’ve found it!
